Mission Statement
The mission of the Femi Pinto Sickle Cell Fund is to provide medical, social, educational, and economic support for children with sickle cell disease and their families.
Our commitment to raising awareness and funds for research are natural extensions of this mission.

Executive Board
Mrs. Nike Aremu
(Co-founder)
An astute business woman, Nike currently owns and operates a home care agency and a residential redevelopment company. She has written and published two books and has a heart for helping and inspiring women. Her primary role on the board is to drive the foundation’s vision and mission to guide and set the pace for current operations and future development.
Mrs. Ronke Akinbode
(Co-founder)
Ronke is a seasoned child care professional with over 20 years of experience in child care. A family-oriented person, who enjoys watching movies and travelling, she brings her vast experience in child care development to the foundation with a primary focus on impacting children. Ronke’s role on the board is determining and reviewing the foundation goals, fund raising and organizational planning.
Advisory Board
The Advisory Board will give guidance, advice and support to the Board of Directors.
Ms Morinola Sodeke
Secretary
Ms Sodeke attended University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where she obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Demography and Social Statisitics. She also holds a Masters of Science in Organizational Development and Strategic Human Resources from Johns Hopkins University. Ms Sodeke currently works as a Client Relations Manager in the Healthcare Accreditation industry. Prior to this, she used her unique skills as a Relationship Builder to work with various industries such as Banking, Media Advertising, POS Consulting and Assisted Reproductive Technologies. She is a devoted mother to her two adult sons and her forever loyal four-legged Shi Tzu companion called Rylo. In her spare time, Morin enjoys traveling, staying in touch with friends and family, being the ultimate gatherer of people and relaxing at home with a good movie/TV show with an occasional glass of wine
Mrs Aminah Gbajabiamila
Mrs. Gbajabiamila is an experiential Transformational Life Stylist, who is committed to Youth and Women (Mid-Age) Empowerment and Emancipation. She is a corporate Marketing and Internal Communications Brand Management professional with 20+ years leadership experience win multibillion-dollar (global Fortune 100) companies, and leading indigenous Nigerian firm across Logistics, Retail, Asset Management and Hospitality industries.
Aminah holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Education (University of Lagos), and a Masters of Public Administration (The Ohio State University). Aminah obtained her Public Relations Officer Certification via the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) in Dubai.
Dr. Dapo Odetoyinbo, MD
Dr Dapo Odetoyinbo received his Medical Degree from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos in 1990. He held several Private Health Sector positions in Nigeria until 1995 when he received an appointment as District Medical Officer with the Ministry of Health in Lesotho, Southern Africa. In 1998 his family immigrated to the United States. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Lincoln Medical Center in Bronx, NY and practiced Primary Care Internal Medicine in Mississippi and Georgia before joining the Emory Clinic Division of Hospital Medicine in 2006. He was awarded Emory’s Department of Medicine Outstanding Clinician Award in 2012, and the same year was appointed Chief Medical officer at Emory Johns Creek Hospital in Johns Creek, GA. He served on the Board of Trustees at Emory Johns Creek Hospital and on the Emory St Joseph’s Hospital/Emory Johns Creek Hospital JOC board between 2012 and 2019 and earned an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in 2018. He has been a member of the Apogee Physicians Travel team since January 2020.
Dapo has both a personal and professional passion for individuals and families touched by Sickle cell anemia. He is actively involved with his church, Free Chapel in Cumming, GA and volunteers with multiple not-for-profit community organizations in the North Atlanta area.
